On August 24th, NDRC, MEE and MoHURD jointly released an Action Plan (2023-2025) to Improve the Level of Environmental Infrastructure Development. It is emphasized in the Action Plan that by 2025, the capacity and level of the disposal and treatment of the waste infrastructure and facilities should be significantly improved. The national capacity of segregated waste collection and transportation of domestic waste should be over 700,000 tons/day. The national capacity for incineration of urban domestic waste should be over 800,000 tons/day. The capacity and scale of solid waste treatment and integrated utilization should be significantly upgraded. The dangerous waste disposal capacity should be guaranteed.

More than 150 representatives attended the meeting, and a total of 41,000 people participated the event online.
The project website will be handed over to the project partner China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES) for maintenance
