On 20 February, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), jointly with eight other departments, issued the “Guidance on Coordinating Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction and Recycling to Accelerate the Renewal of Products and Equipment in Key Areas”. The guidance states that by 2030, the energy efficiency of products and equipment in key areas should be further improved, the energy efficiency in key industries and areas as well as the carbon emission level should reach the international advanced level. The renewal and recycling of products and equipment should be further enhanced, the resource saving level should be further improved.
