Notice on Mending the Shortcomings of Public Health and Environmental Facilities and Carrying Out Urban and Rural Environmental Sanitation Cleaning and Rectification released.

The general offices of NDRC and five other departments jointly released a notice on Mending the Shortcomings of Public Health and Environmental Facilities and Carrying Out Urban and Rural Environmental Sanitation Cleaning and Rectification.

The notice emphasized the need to promote urban sanitation clean-up and remediation actions, and the implementation of rural habitat improvement and upgrading actions. Cleaning and rectification should be arranged in medical and sanitary institutions. Improvement of the medical and sanitary service system should be made. Shortcomings of urban and rural waste and sewage management should be made up, and the capacity for comprehensive disposal of medical sewage should be upgraded. Innovation models of urban and rural social sanitation should be made. Further improvements of the urban and rural environment should be developed.
