On February 22-24, 2023, sponsored by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) NAMA project and the China Association for Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES), and organized by Beijing Zhongchuang Carbon Investment Education Consulting Co., Ltd. (SCET), the fifth advanced training course of “low-carbon integrated management of domestic waste treatment industry under the carbon peak goal and carbon neutral vision” was successfully held in Beijing.
This course invites many well-known scholars and deep experts in the field of climate change and dual-carbon to give lectures, starting from the carbon peak and carbon-neutral goals, including the development of China’s carbon market, carbon trading mechanism, sustainable financial development and corporate carbon management, aiming to improve the students’ understanding of domestic and foreign climate change and China’s dual-carbon goals, deepen their understanding of the carbon market, and provide suggestions for the low-carbon integrated management of domestic waste treatment industry.
Mr. Wang Ke, environmental professor at Renmin University of China, analyzed the policy system and implementation path under the carbon peak goal and carbon neutral vision.

Mr. Gao Qingxian,researcher of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, introduced the current situation of emission reduction in China’s waste field under the background of dual carbon.

Dr. Liu Xiao, GIZ, further analyzed the low-carbon development path of domestic waste treatment industry through the introduction of NAMA project.

Mr. Yang Jin, director of Beijing Zhongchuang Carbon Investment Technology Co., Ltd., led to analyze the principle of carbon trading mechanism and make future prospects from the perspective of global carbon market.

Mr. Zhang Binliang, General Manager of Beijing Zhongchuang Carbon Investment Education Consulting Co., Ltd., took China’s carbon market as the main body, explained in detail its construction and development process and future development priorities.

The course also provides interesting carbon trading simulation practices.

A total of 37 representatives from GIZ and five demonstration cities (Bengbu, Lanzhou, Suzhou, Tai’an and Xi’an) participated in the training. After a successful final exam, the participants will receive a nationally recognized “Carbon Manager” certification.
