From August 18 to 20, 2022, the advanced course on Carbon Asset Management jointly organized by Suzhou Rural Commercial Bank and GIZ was successfully held in Suzhou. The purpose of this training is to improve the trainees’ understanding of China’s Dual Carbon goals, carbon market construction, carbon asset management, and carbon finance development, and help the development of green low-carbon service business. More than 30 participants from the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), Suzhou FinancialInstitute, Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau of Suzhou, Suzhou Rural Commercial Bank etc. participated in the training.
Experts from International Finance Corporation (IFC), Environment Department of Renmin University of China, the Asian Development Bank were invited to give lectures. The training covers the interpretation of China’s Duall Carbon goals, the progress of carbon market construction, carbon asset management, green finance, and carbon finance development.
Up to now, the NAMA project has successfully held three sessions of Carbon Management Training, with more than 90 trainees receiving the “Carbon Manager” certificate.
