Waste sector in China is expected to become more and more important for curbing country’s emissions and achieving its NDCs. The activities of IWM NAMA in this realm include provision of targeted technical advice to facilitate selection of the least emission intensive waste treatment technologies; the project also sets the target of developing and testing the MRV model for the waste sector – to get verifiable data on waste-related GHG emissions.
